Oddball
"Spots"
G5 Dominant White Filly
Y18 Born
16.2 Hands High
Truth Be Told x Flashabelle
Horse Pictured; Buchiko
Personality: Spots is a horse that refuses to sit still. She has too much energy to burn for that. So while all the other horses are standing in the field or grazing, it's not uncommon to see her running around the pasture. Thankfully it's easy to make sure she's not bored, even if it's just a hack around the property in addition to her weekly workout. Literally, a short hack a day is on the schedule for her. If there's one thing she hates though, it's dogs. She will chase any one that decides it's a good idea to come near the spotted filly. So we've made sure that our Golden Retriever knows to stay away from the Y18 fillies' pasture.
Thankfully that energy comes to our advantage in the races. We are hopeful that she gets the end starting gate stall when it's time for the races. The less time she has to spend in there, the better. She pulls away from the gate slowly when the doors open, a contradiction to her nature. It's probably the one time she's patient. But it does come in handy at the end of the race when she manages to go around the group and race towards the lead. Like a rocket, there's nothing that can hold her back when her rider gives her her head. Since she's a horse that gets easily distracted, she wears blinkers in her races to hopefully keep her attention on the track before her.
